BestBuy records the most traffic of electronics sites in October


BestBuy.com had the most traffic of multi-category computers and consumer electronics sites in October, with 12 million visitors, up 8% from 11.1 million visitors a year earlier, according to Nielsen/NetRatings Inc.

EBay Electronics ranked second, with 9.2 million visits, down 4% from 9.6 million; followed by CircuitCity.com, 9.19 million visits, up 4% from 8.8 million; eBay Computers, 5.4 million, down 4% from 5.6 million; OSTG, 3.8 million, unchanged from October 2005; TigerDirect.com, 3.27 million, down 1% from 3.3 million; CompUSA.com, 2.7 million, up 13% from 2.4 million; Newegg.com, 2.5 million, unchanged from October 2005; MSN Tech & Gadgets, 2.5 million, up 39% from 1.8 million; and Sony Electronics, 2.2 million, down 46% from 4.1 million.

Ranked by average length of time per visit, LG Electronics led with 26 minutes, 52 seconds; followed by CDW, 22 minutes, 31 seconds; eBay Electronics, 16 minutes, 41 seconds; Newegg.com, 16 minutes, 32 seconds; APC, 14 minutes, 21 seconds; TigerDirect.com, 14 minutes, 10 seconds; eBay Computers, 12 minutes, 12 seconds; BestBuy.com, 11 minutes, 54 seconds; CircuitCity.com, 11 minutes, 8 seconds; and OSTG, 9 minutes, 47 seconds.

Also for October, Netflix Inc. led all retail goods and services advertisers in the number of online ad impressions, according to Nielsen/NetRating’s AdRelevance report. The top advertisers and their number of online ad impressions (in millions) are:
