BizRate.com adds manufacturers’ deals to its special offers lineup

BizRate.com, a web comparison shopping site, is adding rebate and special offers from manufacturers on 700 products, beefing up its existing base of 450 offers from merchants.

BizRate is placing the offers under the Special Offers on the BizRate.com home page, as well as integrating the offers into the product search pages, and in the context of product prices and store ratings. BizRate will offer deals in computer hardware, software and consumer electronics. It will update offers each week.

Free shipping is still the number one incentive to online buying, influencing 29% of online orders, BizRate says. The number of free shipping deals at BizRate.com increased by 65% from July to August. BizRate.com offers 100 free shipping deals in its comparison shopping marketplace.
