NetByTel gets new chief and new funding
NetByTel Inc., provider of web-based voice self-service technology, has hired a new CEO and received $8 million in new funding.
The new CEO is John Amein, a former sales and marketing executive at Dialogic Corp., a provider of computer telephony products, then at Intel Corp. after Intel acquired Dialogic in 1999. He most recently was vice president of product management and marketing for Dialogic products worldwide.
The company also reported that last week it received $8 million in financing for marketing and technology development.
"NetByTel is in a tremendous growth stage right now, and John will be able to leverage his existing relationships in the industry and his 13 years of speech recognition experience to guide NetByTel into its next phase of development," said Steve Nussrallah, board member and lead investor with Noro-Moseley Capital. "His experience and accomplishments will be instrumental in enhancing NetByTel`s technology vision and products, forging strategic relationships, exploiting key market opportunities, and extending the organizational infrastructure in sales, marketing, and customer services."
NetByTel’s retail customers include Office Depot Inc. and WalMart.com.
