HSN U.S. gets a new president from within
Marty Nealon has been named president, U.S., of TV and web retailer HSN. Nealon, HSN’s executive vice president of merchandising since the fall of 2002, will oversee all aspects of HSN’s U.S. business including hsn.com, merchandising, television, marketing, finance, sales and service, and operations. She will report to Thomas J. McInerney, CEO/HSN & Electronic Retailing.
HSN says that Bob Rosenblatt, president of HSN U.S for the last three years, will move over to parent company IAC/InterActiveCorp where he will develop new interactive retailing opportunities. The company reports that under Rosenblatt’s six-year tenure, first as CFO, then as COO and president, revenue and profits have nearly doubled, hsn.com was launched and has subsequently grown to represent 14% of U.S. revenue, and HSN became the fourth-largest cable network in the country.
In her EVP position, Nealon was responsible for all merchandising programs including jewelry, soft goods, health & beauty, home fashions, electronics, merchandise finance, planning, off-air sales and programming.
Before joining HSN, Nealon was an executive consultant for the Kenneth Cole Co.’s Consumer Direct Division. Before that, she was president and COO of Claire’s North America, responsible for merchandising and support operations for 2,600 stores in the U.S.
