buySafe opens its bonded-sellers network to site developers

To increase traffic to retail web sites bonded by buySafe Inc. as reliable sellers, buySafe has opened its application programming interface to other sites that join the buySafe developers’ network to integrate with its bonded sites.

The move supports activity on comparison shopping sites, browser plug-ins and other shopping applications involving multiple web sites, buySafe says. The company provides the buySafe Seal to merchants that meet its standards for being trustworthy, reliable and committed to delivering on their promised terms of sale, buySafe says. Consumers that purchase from a buySafe-bonded merchant receive a surety bond that guarantees up to $25,000 to assure that the merchant will meet all promised terms of the sale, buySafe says.

“Our goal is to make every online transaction reliable, trusted, and virtually risk-free,” says CEO Jeff Grass. “In more than 9 million transactions, we have delivered on that goal by creating a circle of trust among merchants and consumers at the transactional level. By creating the buySAFE Developers’ Network and opening our API, we are now able to signal trust to consumers at any point in their buying cycle.”
