After quintupling in two years, Solid Cactus beefs up its senior management

With growth from 16 employees to 75 today, and its evolution from store development in 2004 to order management software in 2005 to call center services and Internet marketing in 2006, web site development company Solid Cactus Inc. has appointed several new senior level executives.

Justin Rattigan has been named chief operating officer, responsible for the overall operation of the company and its individual departments and sales units.

Rattigan formed his own web design company, TurnAhead.com, while still in college. In 2004, Solid Cactus acquired TurnAhead.com and named Rattigan vice president. Since that time he has developed multiple strategic partnerships with third-party vendors and implemented CRM policies and procedures within the sales and project management groups.

“I suppose you could say the torch has passed at Solid Cactus,” says Solid Cactus co-founder Scott Sanfilippo. “This is another reflection of our company growth and our need to find the right people to fuel that growth. Justin has more than demonstrated his abilities here, and we turn day-to-day operations over to him with great confidence. Co-founder Joe Palko and I won’t be disappearing though. We will continue to concentrate on the company’s overall business development. Joe will remain active in developing strategic partnerships with other companies in our industry while I will stay on in my role as company spokesman.”

Solid Cactus also announced that Sean Gove has become chief marketing officer. He will move from his current position as head of sales and will be responsible for all new product development and marketing. Gove co-founded TrunAhead.com with Rattigan and joined Solid Cactus with the acquisition.

“Sean will head up our product development. He’ll oversee everything including marketing slicks, sales promotions and training of our clients on the new services we offer. We expect Sean to keep Solid Cactus on the cutting edge of the industry with relation to new products and services,” Sanfilippo says.

Solid Cactus also has named Farukh Shroff general manager of Internet Marketing. Shroff has extensive experience in affiliate program management and search engine marketing

The company has also named Miguel Younger general manager of store development for the company's core product, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Store and John Fallon director of sales for the Internet Marketing division.

Wilkes-Barre, PA–based Solid Cactus has designed or redesigned more than 2,000 e-commerce sites using the Yahoo! Store platform. The company serves medium to large clients.
