FranklinCovey`s Commerce Initiative Reaches New Heights Using ATG Software

Leading manufacturer of training and productivity tools sees significant gains in conversion rates

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., August 17, 2004 - ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the software provider behind the web`s richest customer experiences, today announced that FranklinCovey, the global manufacturer of training and productivity tools and creator of the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" book series, has increased both conversion rates and annual revenue of its commerce site, Franklincovey.com, as a result of re-deploying the site on the ATG Customer Experience Platform.

FranklinCovey, offering a suite of effectiveness training, productivity tools and assessment services for organizations and individuals has more than doubled its conversion rate and seen increased revenue since selecting ATG in early 2003.

"We haven`t had any problems with scalability or down time and the holiday season went off without a hitch, even as our traffic increased another five percent over the past year," said Dale Edman, e-commerce business manager, FranklinCovey. "ATG has not only provided us with the stability our platform needed, but we now have a level of flexibility that has allowed us to provide our customers with an array of new options and guide them through the entire site experience."

The third-generation Franklincovey.com was developed in 2003 by SBI.Razorfish (now Avenue A/Razorfish, the largest independent interactive agency and operating unit of aQuantive, Inc. [NASDAQ: AQNT]). By combining the ATG Commerce platform and Avenue A/Razorfish`s innovative Agile Methods delivery methodology, the new e-commerce site was deployed with rich commerce and self-service functionality in advance of the busy retail season. With a simplified online shopping experience and ATG platform features, FranklinCovey has experienced lower shopping cart abandonment while having an easier time targeting customers with tailored online marketing promotions.

Since last year`s re-launch, FranklinCovey has designed numerous scenarios using the ATG Commerce and ATG Adaptive Scenario Server that reward customers with promotions and benefits or directs them to separate pages where they can choose from additional promotions or offers. Over the next year, FranklinCovey intends to significantly expand its use of scenarios.

"FranklinCovey is reflective of a company committed to a vision for its online commerce initiative and determined to find the right partner to help execute it," said Cliff Conneighton, senior vice president of marketing, ATG. "FranklinCovey has shown the foresight and understanding to take full advantage of the Customer Experience Platform in the future and increase the depth and loyalty of its customer relationships."
