Online retail job board’s listings shoot past 24,000
Eighteen months after the founding of AllRetailJobs.com, the number of retail jobs available at the site has surpassed 24,000, the company reports. At the beginning of the year, the site had about 1,000 jobs up, president and CEO Don Firth tells InternetRetailer.com. The company says 1,600 retailers have listed jobs at the site.
Firth says that many retailers tested the site with a couple dozen listings and now post hundreds of openings for spots around the country.
Jobs cover all areas of retail, including apparel, automotive, convenience, department stores, electronics, fashion, furniture, home and office products, specialty, supermarkets, toys and video stores. Job openings range from entry level, hourly sales jobs to all levels of management and executive positions. Compensations range from standard hourly wages to as high as $300,000.
Firth says the company employs a direct sales force to attract retailers to advertise their job openings. Retailers pay $150 for a single 60-day listing, with quantity discounts. For instance, a retailer could list 100 jobs for $4,900. AllRetailerJobs.com also offers unlimited listings for a set fee, depending on how many openings a retailer anticipates posting.
AllRetailJobs.com attracts users through web-based marketing, including buying 1,000 keywords, including such pertinent terms as “store manager” and “retail jobs.”
