Sharper Image’s web sales grow 37%

Web sales at Sharper Image Corp. rose 37% in the fiscal year just ended to $95.1 million from $69.2 million in the prior year, the company reported today. Total sales grew 26% to $630.1 million from $498.7 million. Store sales were up 29% to $379.3 million, with comparable store sales up 15%. Catalog sales were up 15% to $155.7 million.

Web sales accounted for 15% of all sales vs. 13.9% a year earlier.

In the fourth quarter, Internet sales were up 34% vs. year earlier and in January they were up 51%. Total company sales were up 29% in Q4 and 40% in January.

Sharper Images says it expects net earnings for the year to grow 58% over last year.
