Online retail sales growth slows at end of January, comScore reports
Growth in online retail spending took a breather at the end of January, comScore Networks Inc. reports, growing 11% to $1.07 billion for the week ending Jan. 26 from $965 million for the corresponding week a year ago. Online sales had been growing at 30% a week since mid December.
Total retail sales for the week ending Jan. 24 grew 12.5% over the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.
Online travel spending for the week ending Jan. 26 grew 19% to $876 million from $734 million a year earlier, comScore reports.
