J. Jill squeezes a little growth out of its web site
Web sales at women’s apparel retailer J. Jill Group Inc. for the year just completed reached $69 million, up 4.4% from $66.1 million a year ago, the company reported today. Companywide sales were up 8.4% to $376.9 million from $347.5 a year earlier. The web accounted for 18.3% of sales in the most recent year vs. 19% a year earlier.
Sales in J. Jill’s retail stores increased 38.6% to $177.5 million for the year from $128 million the year before.
Net income for the year slipped to $7.2 million from $28.9 million the year before.
