GSI Commerce lands three more offline brands


GSI Commerce Inc., the provider of online channels for many well known offline brands, has added three more clients to its roster, the company announced this week. GSI’s majority owned subsidiary GSI-Chelsea Solutions LLC, will be providing the e-commerce platform for Liz Claiborne Inc., The Timberland Co. and Polo.com.

Under these agreements, GSI will provide a variety of e-commerce services including technology, order processing, fulfillment and customer service.

Michael Rubin, Chairman and CEO of GSI Commerce, said, “We are very excited that these premier companies have chosen to work with GSI Commerce, and we look forward to participating in the continued growth of their e-commerce businesses.”

Formed in 2003, GSI-Chelsea Solutions is majority owned by GSI Commerce. Chelsea Property Group, through its wholly owned subsidiary Chelsea Interactive, is also an equity holder in GSI-Chelsea Solutions. GSI Commerce handles the buying and management of inventory for its customers, and deals with more than 1,000 brands representing 160,000 SKUs.

Among the retailers and manufacturers to which it provides are The Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sport Chalet, ShopPBS.com, Ace Hardware, Linens ‘n Things, Kmart, QVC, and eight professional sports organizations.
