Commerce One is First UCCnet Alliance Partner to Offer Both Implementation and Application Solutions for CPG Trading Partners
PLEASANTON, Calif. — July 1, 2002 — Commerce One, (Nasdaq: CMRC), the Business Internet Company, today announced the availability of a suite of implementation tools and services to help companies in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry more easily and efficiently load item and partner content into the UCCnet GLOBALregistry™. Commerce One Xpress™ Suite is designed to enable CPG customers to accelerate time-to-market for new products and improve communication and collaboration with manufacturers and retailers. The suite includes personalized training programs to provide companies of any size with the information necessary to connect to UCCnet. The UCCnet GLOBALregistry is a repository of standards-based product information such as SKU numbers, size, availability and pricing for the CPG industry. Commerce One helps companies accurately upload their product information in the UCCnet GLOBALregistry so that retailers can easily locate items. Some customers have become UCCnet-compliant in as little as three weeks.
"Commerce One provides a complete trading-partner solution ranging from implementation services to application solutions to members of the UCCnet community," said Fred Geiger, senior vice president, product management, UCCnet. "Commerce One`s flexible solutions and industry expertise will help manufacturers in the CPG industry achieve UCCnet compliance more quickly."
