Office Depot finds another use for the web: Business seminars
With a successful web-selling strategy that will result in $2 billion in online sales this year, Office Depot Inc. is using the web in another way. Starting Tuesday, Delray Beach, Fla.-based Office Depot will host a six-week seminar for small businesses at www.OfficeDepot.com/promo/webcafe. The sessions, dubbed the WebCafe will be hosted by Monica Luechtefeld, executive vice president of e-commerce for Office Depot.
Featured speakers include:
--Marilyn Carlson Nelson, U.S. White House Chairwoman of the National Women`s Business Council and chairwoman and CEO of Carlson Cos.
--Lurita Doan, president and CEO of New Technology Management Inc., an IT service-oriented company that providesinformation technology in advanced computer and network operations.
--Jean Chatzky, editor at large of Money Magazine and financial editor for NBC`s Today Show.
--Nancy Michaels, president of marketing company Impression Impact.
--Stephanie Denton, president of the National Association of Professional Organizers, and author of the syndicated newspaper column "Getting Organized."
