LaGarde Announces Integration Between StoreFront and Microsoft Great Plains and RMS
Cost-Effective Process Improvements Now Available for Microsoft MBS Users
Kansas City, KS (September 23, 2004) – As online sales continue to grow and become a more significant part of general business practice, organizations are focusing on ways to more efficiently integrate ecommerce into their existing business operations. In an effort to support these merchants, LaGarde has recently begun offering ready-to-install integration modules between StoreFront (www.storefront.net) E-Commerce Software and Microsoft Great Plains accounting software and the Microsoft RMS point-of-sale system.
These modules allow StoreFront based online stores to integrate directly with industry leading Microsoft MBS solutions, saving businesses time, money and headcount in processing and accounting for online orders. These integrated solutions were recently showcased at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto. The RMS integration was highlighted in a keynote address by Orlando Ayala, Microsoft Senior Vice President, Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partner Group.
Julie Katz, Director of Marketing for Lambriar Animal Care, selected StoreFront specifically for its integration with Great Plains. “We’re launching a new nationwide program that we expect will triple our monthly orders,” said Katz. “Yet thanks to the integration between StoreFront and Great Plains we won’t need to add a single additional person to process and manage the orders. And the cost of integration hasn’t caused any sticker shock.”
The Great Plains integration module was developed by Nodus Technologies, a President’s Club level Microsoft Business Solutions Provider.
Dan King, owner of New West Technologies, the developer of the RMS integration module, wanted to help his client, Northwest Hobbies, a Portland based brick and mortar store, start selling online and leverage his investment in Microsoft RMS. StoreFront provided the perfect solution. “I was able to provide a state-of-the-art online store with StoreFront and process orders with RMS,” said King. “Northwest Hobby’s staff required no additional training and can do their work when things are slow in the store.”
