Rhapsody`s downloads are up 14% month-to-month
Music fans at RealNeworks Inc.’s Rhapsody Internet jukebox service downloaded 14% more songs in February than they did in January, RealNetworks reports.
Downloads reached 48 million in February. RealNetworks began reporting song downloading last June, when customers bought 11.1 million songs.
Rhapsody offers unlimited access to 600,000 songs from major and independent label music for $9.95 a month. Customers can buy individual tracks for 79 cents.
