Restoration Hardware hikes conversion rates with new e-catalog
Restoration Hardware says a new e-catalog system from Scene7 is helping to drive up its web site’s sales conversion rates while freeing up its web design team to focus on other merchandising improvements.
"Scene7`s dynamic imaging capabilities have contributed to our recent growth in conversion rates," says Stephanie Garcia, Restoration`s director of e-commerce.
Garcia adds that Scene7’s visualization capabilities, including its dynamic panning, zooming and sticky notes features, exceeded the retailer’s expectations and freed up RestorationHardware.com’s web design team to focus on other initiatives.
Restoration outsourced its entire web catalog web publishing and hosting to Scene7’s Client Services division, to which the retailer delivers its printed catalog pages in PDF format. It takes less than a week for Scene7 to take the printed pages and publish them online.
In addition, Restoration is licensing Scene7’s Infinite Imaging Platform for adding new merchandising features to its site. For example, Restoration’s web team has used the platform to add a new "colorizer" feature to the upholstery category section of RestorationHardware.com, allowing customers to click on and view any fabric swatch on a selected upholstery item.
