Phillips-Van Heusen Implements Equilibrium MediaRich Image Server to Streamline Product Merchandising for Fashion Web Sites

Equilibrium MediaRich Generates and Updates Images for Izod.com and GHBass.com through Media Templating and Dynamic Imaging

SAN RAFAEL, CA—JULY 30, 2002—Equilibrium technologies, Inc., a leading provider of automated imaging solutions for the enterprise and majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMGI), today announced that Phillips-Van Heusen, one of the leading apparel and footwear companies in the world, has implemented MediaRich Image Server to automate the creation and delivery of product merchandising visuals for Izod.com and GHBass.com

"Our strategy is to build upon a strong technology infrastructure to successfully market our brands to our customers,” said Matt Skinner, group vice president and director of corporate applications for Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. “Equilibrium MediaRich enables our web production team of IT and business partners to streamline their efforts, while presenting a consistent experience for all our brand sites.”

Equilibrium® MediaRich™ is server-based imaging software that automates image production and enables the dynamic delivery of visual assets to a range of media vehicles, including the Web, print media and smart devices. By integrating MediaRich with their existing infrastructure, Phillips-Van Heusen has set up templates to automate image processing tasks normally done manually by artists, business partners and technical teams. MediaRich has dynamic imaging features such as zoom, pan, colorize, resize, mix and match, font generation and compositing. MediaRich Image Server dramatically reduces production costs and accelerates time-to-market for delivering rich visual content.

“We are pleased that the first two Phillips-Van Heusen sites have debuted on schedule,” said Ron Wood, vice president of sales and marketing for Equilibrium. “By leveraging MediaRich, Phillips-Van Heusen can maximize the lifetime value of their digital assets across their family of brands.”

This release contains forward-looking statements that address a variety of subjects including, for example, the expected benefits of the agreement between Equilibrium and Phillips-Van Heusen, and the expected benefits, features, and functionality of MediaRich. The following important factors and uncertainties, among others, could cause actual results to differ materially from those described in these forward-looking statements: MediaRich may not successfully interoperate with the technologies and products of third parties; Equilibrium`s growth depends upon continued and increased demand for and market acceptance of its offerings; and increased competition and technological changes in the markets in which Equilibrium competes.
