Brylane chooses TrueSpectra for Image Serving

Retailer will implement Image Server across multiple web sites in time for the holiday buying season

SAN MATEO, CA - August 5, 2002 - TrueSpectra, Inc. (www.truespectra.com) the leading provider of high-performance server-based imaging solutions, today announced that Brylane (www.brylane.com), "America`s Specialty Catalog Leader", has selected TrueSpectra Image Server to speed their website development and increase product sales across multiple brands and websites.

"With many different brands and eight distinct websites, we were looking for a solution that would allow us to quickly update our online stores with the latest products," stated Alex Betancur, Chief Technology Officer - Interactive Media Group. "We also needed to meet the customer demand for zoom without forfeiting either site speed or production speed. TrueSpectra was the only product that could expedite our site development and updates and without sacrificing the quality of our customers` online shopping experience."

TrueSpectra recently released Image Server V4, which enables faster Web application development and simplifies integration with leading products and platforms including Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, ColdFusion MX, JAVA applications, and servers such as BEA WebLogic, IBM Websphere, Apache Web server, and Microsoft IIS Web server. The second-generation Dynamic Zoom, with an enhanced user interface, is one of the most widely used features in web site development, and can now be controlled using Generator tools that give developers easy-to-use interfaces to quickly enable Web site images with Zoom.

"Image serving does not have to be time consuming, difficult and costly," said V. David Watkins, President and CEO of TrueSpectra. "Customer such as Brylane need products that increase their efficiency and have an immediate positive effect on their business. The continuing growth of our family of customers is proof that our product stands alone in performance, ease of use and affordability."

TrueSpectra`s product line includes Image Server V4, which is designed to meet the capacity and performance needs of medium to large Web sites as well as the Image Server, Developer Edition, which has been designed for smaller sites and intranets and will allow millions of developers to cost effectively integrate image-serving technology into their Web applications.
