Drugstore.com names a new CTO
Drugstore.com Inc. has named Bud Albers chief technology officer. He will be responsible for planning the company`s technology direction, implementation of new initiatives, and expansion of the Drugstore.com web site.
Before joining Drugstore.com, Albers was senior vice president and chief technology officer of Getty Images Inc. where he was responsible for creating a single, worldwide technology infrastructure. He led the technology integration efforts for Getty’s more than 30 worldwide acquisitions, migrating its revenues from traditional distribution channels to a web-based model. He has also held technology and management positions at Monsanto Corp., Ameritech and NxTrend Technologies.
