Supply Chain Planning Innovator Broadens Client Care Organization and Adds Marketing Clout

West Chester, PA - August 12, 2002 - Prescient Systems, known for delivering proven supply chain planning solutions to the consumer products industry, today announced two significant changes on its senior management team: The promotion of Alec Elmore to the new position of vice president of client services and the hiring of Kelly Vizzini as vice president of marketing.

"Our management team is evolving to ensure we can continue to realize our goals of growth, profitability and client intimacy," said Jane Hoffer, Prescient Systems president and chief executive officer. "The positions being filled by Kelly and Alec are critical, both to bolster Prescient`s corporate infrastructure and to provide a solid foundation for the rest of the company to deliver the best products to consumer products companies."

Elmore assumes responsibility for building Prescient`s new client services organization. He will incorporate his existing responsibilities at Prescient as director of the professional services organization in charge of implementations, client training and deploying product upgrades. The new position provides a single point of contact for all clients. Elmore will integrate the client support and professional services teams to build a completely holistic client-facing organization.

With nearly 10 years of business and information technology consulting experience, Elmore joined Prescient Systems after serving as the director of integration services at Omnient Corp., an Internet consulting firm. He also worked for Arthur Andersen`s Business Consulting group as head of the Philadelphia Supply Chain Planning practice. Elmore`s vertical industry experience includes food and beverage, apparel, high tech, industrial products and other consumer goods.

He has spoken at numerous manufacturing and supply chain industry events, including the Council of Logistics Management`s annual conference. Elmore holds a bachelor`s degree in religion and cultural studies from Dickinson College, where he also minored in business.

Vizzini, who steps into a post that has been vacant, is charged with leveraging the company`s existing successes and domain expertise to build a brand identity that positions Prescient as the de facto standard for supply chain planning solutions for consumer products manufacturers and distributors.

Vizzini comes to Prescient from Optum, Inc., which specializes in supply chain execution software. In her role as vice president of marketing at Optum, Vizzini was responsible for managing all aspects of promoting the company`s brand, products and services. Prior to Optum, Vizzini held other marketing positions at Metasys and InfoSystems, where she orchestrated go-to-market strategies and developed integrated campaigns to support the sales organizations.

Vizzini has spoken on supply chain-related issues and has published articles in industry publications such as Retail Technology News and Food Logistics. Vizzini holds a bachelor`s degree in journalism and communications from the University of South Carolina.
