Research and consulting firm Aberdeen Group has named Chris Selland as vice president of sell-side research. Selland is the founder and former managing director of Reservoir Partners, a customer relationship management strategy consultancy that Aberdeen acquired.
Abderdeen says Selland will address five topic areas aimed at helping sales, marketing and customer service executives at Global 5000 corporations drive business value through technology:
• how customer service professionals can use new tools and techniques to gain financial value from the contact center
• how to equip the sales force with tools that help them sell
• the state of marketing analytics and how companies are managing or mismanaging their customer information
• issues facing companies that sell through indirect channels
• why outsourcing functions that touch the customer require thoughtful strategies and solid business underpinnings.
Before founding Reservoir Partners in 2001, Selland was vice president of marketing at eSupportNow, a venture-funded eCRM provider. He was also vice president of CRM and e-Business solutions at the Yankee Group.
