eBay, Terra Lycos team up
Internet portal Terra Lycos and eBay, which many retailers use to dispose of overstock merchandise, today announced a multi-year agreement that integrates all of eBay`s item listings and categories into the Lycos Auctions destination http://auction.lycos.com.
The agreement expands both eBay`s marketplace and Lycos Auctions, allowing Lycos users to access, buy and sell on eBay directly from the Lycos Auctions site. In addition, eBay will be a featured advertiser on the Lycos Network.
"The Lycos Network has tremendous reach and opens another door for eBay," said Jeff Jordon, senior vice president and general manager of eBay U.S. "As one of the Web`s leading networks, Lycos will help generate traffic and exposure for the millions of items available on eBay, while we help Lycos users discover the value and selection of the eBay marketplace."
