FINISH LINE SELECTS ATG COMMERCE AND PORTAL
New Athletic Retail Site to Increase Sales Though the Online Channel
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., September 5, 2002 - ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc.,

portals, and relationship management, today announced that Finish Line, Inc.
(NASDAQ: FINL), has selected ATG Commerce to run its retail Web site. The
athletic retailer, which specializes in brand name footwear, apparel, and
accessories, also selected ATG Portal to develop an internal resource to
help improve communication and efficiency among the various store locations.
Finish Line will implement ATG Commerce to significantly enhance its
consumer retail site with new features, including personalization, in an
effort to help improve service and to drive more revenue through the
e-business channel. At the same time, ATG Scenario Personalization(tm) will
enable Finish Line to target customized offers and focus merchandise based
on user preferences, behavior, and order history.
In addition to the new marketing enhancements, the improved Finish Line site
will now provide its customers with advanced search capabilities, allowing
them to find goods more easily. Further, the ATG Commerce architecture
provides the flexibility and stability to allow for Finish Line to easily
integrate ATG with the company`s existing inventory management system. In
all, the new functionality will make it easier for Finish Line to match
customers with merchandise, simplifying the online buying process for
consumers.
