eBay leads in visits to consumer electronics sites


eBay led all retail web sites in the number of unique visitors to consumer electronic sites for the week ended April 11, with 2.24 million, compared to second-ranked BestBuy.com with 1.31 million, Nielsen/NetRatings reports.

Sony Electronics (SonyStyle.com) ranked third with 995,000 visitors, followed by CircuitCity.com, 574,000; Sony.com, 555,000; OSDN, 479,000; eAcceleration, 325,000; MSN Tech & Gadgets, 307,000 and TigerDirect.com, 285,000.

TigerDirect led in terms of time per visitor, with 9 minutes, 54 seconds, followed by Sony.com, 9 minutes 3 seconds; eBay Electronics, 7 minutes, 3 seconds; CircuitCity, 6 minutes, 48 seconds; BestBuy, 6 minutes, 44 seconds; Sony Electronics, 4 minutes, 33 seconds; OSDN, 4 minutes, 5 seconds; eAcceleration, 3 minutes, 2 seconds; and MSN Tech & Gadgets, 57 seconds.

For the same week, Netflix Inc. garnered the most online advertising impressions among retail goods and services advertisers, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report. The top 10 cited by AdRelevance and their number of impressions:

eBay Inc., 159.6 million
Amazon.com Inc., 156.6 million
eBay Third Party Auction, 124.3 million
