E-Sim’s LiveProducts reports a backlog of orders
The market for web-based product manuals and user guides is heating up. E-Sim Inc.’s LiveProducts division, which produces web-based user manuals, signed agreements with Panasonic, Samsung Telecom, Nikon, Seiko Instruments -Austin and others in the first quarter and started the second quarter with a $600,000 backlog of orders, the company announced today.
“We’ve also seen a dramatic increase in the frequency and size of the contracts coming in for our LiveProducts Division,” said Ken Dixon, President of e-SIM Inc. “The financial impact of the revenue generated from these agreements will be seen in the second quarter.”
Financial results for the first quarter ended April 30 included a 40% reduction in operating losses from Q4 2000.
Revenues for the first quarter were $1.9 million, compared with $2.2 million for the first quarter 2000. Gross profit for the first quarter was $1.3 million, compared with $1.7 million for the first quarter of 2000. The net loss for the first quarter was $1.8 million compared to a net loss of $1.9 million in the first quarter of 2000.
