Bringing banner ads to life with video
Vendaria Inc., which specializes in streaming video, is launching
Vendaria Envision Video banners, a product that embeds streaming video into
online banner advertisements. Through a “watch video” tile on a web site,
consumers can view video demonstrations of advertised products, turning
static banner ads into a vehicle companies can use to convey more product
information.
The banner ad technology detects the viewer’s browser,
operating system and media player and delivers the appropriate video
content. Vendaria’s delivery platform is optimized for consumers with modem
speeds of 36k and above.
TechnoBrands, a marketer of consumer technology
products, is the first to use the video banners product. The company is
promoting several of its products on top content sites. TechnoBrands plans to roll out an integrated video marketing campaign, utilizing Vendaria’s video technology for email marketing and point-of-purchase merchandising on its web site, TechnoScout.com.
