E-sales extend billion-dollar weeks through April 18
Online retail spending increased 39% for the week ending April 18, reaching $1.08 billion from $778 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports.
Total retail sales for the week ending April 17 fell 23.2% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate. ShopperTrak says the decline was the result of the shift in Easter from a year ago.
Online travel sales grew 43% for the week ending April 18 to $854 million from $599 million a year ago, comScore reports.
