BlossomSelect to Deploy viaLink Solutions for UCCnet Global Registry and Scan-based Trading Initiative
Dallas, Texas - July 28, 2003 - The viaLink Company (OTCBB: VLNK) announced today that BlossomSelect, a global floral procurement group based in Houston, Texas, has joined the expanding list of companies using viaLink`s services to streamline the exchange and synchronization of data with trading partners. The collaborative effort will begin with the use of viaLink`s UCCnet Services to register products and publish product data to trading partners through UCCnet. The agreement also provides for the future use of viaLink`s commerce synchronization and advanced commerce services to fully leverage BlossomSelect`s scan-based trading initiative.
viaLink will provide BlossomSelect with a standards-compliant way to register product information in the UCCnet registry and to communicate that data to retailers and wholesalers who are UCCnet members. viaLink maintains the data in the registry and manages the publication of data to trading partners on the UCCnet system on behalf of its clients. Using viaLink eliminates the need for independent UCCnet certification for BlossomSelect, while providing ongoing compliance as standards and technology change.
