Fry, Inc. Leads All Web Developers with 17 WebAwards
October 1, 2002 -- Seventeen e-business Web sites developed by Fry, Inc. have earned 2002 WebAwards - the highest tally in the national competition.
Two of Fry`s winning sites were judged to be the best in their respective categories. The Fine Living television network received the award for Best Broadcasting Web Site (www.fineliving.com), and Hickory Farms` online store was named Best Food Web Site (www.hickoryfarms.com).
The Web Marketing Association, sponsor of the WebAwards competition, was to announce the winners today at the Internet World conference in New York City.
Fry designs, builds, hosts, and manages Web applications for clients in the retail, financial, automotive, education, broadcasting and consumer packaged goods sectors. It has earned 30 WebAwards in the past three years.
"This remarkable showing is a testament to our staff`s expertise in creative design, information architecture, Web usability, and managed applications services - we host, monitor and manage most of the sites that we develop," said Fry CEO David Fry. "This industry has struggled for the past two or three years but thirty WebAwards shows that Fry has not only survived the IT recession, it has maintained a passion for creative and technical excellence.
"Of course, the real test of our work is in the marketplace," Fry said. "We wouldn`t have received these awards if these Web sites weren`t generating revenue, cutting costs, building brand identity, and bolstering customer satisfaction for our clients."
