QRS launches Web-based solution to drive supply chain efficiency
RICHMOND, Calif. – October 3, 2002 – QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI), a leading provider of collaborative commerce solutions for the extended supply chain, announced today that it has enhanced its Trading Community Management services with the launch of QRS Compliance Link™, a Web-based solution designed to automate and expedite the process of building a trading community within the retail supply chain.
QRS Compliance Link is designed to help companies achieve a quicker return on their technology investments by making it faster and easier for companies to begin transacting business electronically with their entire trading community using the QRS Exchange™ suite of solutions. QRS Compliance Link gives retailers the ability to monitor in real time the status of vendors in their trading community and offers vendors simple, intuitive tools to automate many of their processes.
"With QRS Compliance Link, retailers have greater visibility into their supply chain processes while vendors are empowered to serve themselves," said Joyce Kim, senior vice president of marketing for QRS. "It’s a solution that benefits all members of the trading community – facilitating communication, establishing uniform standards and driving efficiencies across the extended supply chain."
QRS Compliance Link features include:
Community Administration and Tracking: helps manage many trading partners from a single location – including each partner’s profile, status, active programs, registered users and associated activities – through a Web browser interface.
Program Management: enables the user to manage and launch programs, specify steps, notify trading partners, provide guidelines for reference and monitor the progress of each partner throughout the lifecycle of the program.
On-line Transaction Testing: provides user-defined specifications, including business rules made available to review and download by partners.
Standards and Specification Development: uses the standards repository, ensuring each trading partner has access to the latest community standards and specifications.
Through QRS Compliance Link, vendors will understand what their retail trading partners’ requirements are for transacting business electronically and can choose the appropriate QRS communications solution.
The QRS Exchange suite of solutions supports the leading data formats and communication protocols necessary to achieve a rapid return on electronic commerce initiatives. Whether hosted, IP-based or fully managed, QRS Exchange helps vendors electronically collaborate and transact with retailers to optimize business operations.
QRS Exchange can be used in conjunction with QRS Catalogue™, the retail industry’s largest product database, which centralizes and synchronizes the communication of detailed product attribute information for over 88 million current and unique items from more than 3,500 vendors, manufacturers, distributors and their retail customers.* Data product synchronization features allow users to publish product information one time and control distribution access by retailer, item and attribute, saving time, preserving data accuracy and establishing unique trading relationships.
