Dover Saddlery grows 2005 web sales 34%
Dover Saddlery Inc., a multi-channel retailer of equestrian products, is reporting 2005 web sales of $14.9 million, an increase of 33.6% from web sales of $11.1 million in 2004.
Overall the web accounted for 24% of total 2005 sales of $62.6 million. "We made significant inroads in building out our multi-channel sales, retail and product-mix strategies throughout the year, and continued to invest in our infrastructure to leverage and maximize our future growth potential,” says CEO Stephen L. Day.
Founded in 1975 in Wellesley, MA, Dover Saddlery sells brand-name products for horse and rider through catalogs, the Internet and company-owned retail stores. The company filed for an initial public offering in November.
