Global Sports puts three more sporting brands online

Gart Sports and Global Sports Inc. have entered into an e-commerce agreement in which Global Sports will develop and operate separate online sporting goods stores for Gart’s three retail brands: Gart Sports, Sportmart and Oshman’s SuperSports. Global Sports has been operating Gart Sports’ Oshman’s site since May 2000. The other two stores--www.gartsports.com and www.sportmart.com--will open online in the third quarter. Gart Sports is the second-largest public sporting goods retailer in the U.S., operating 177 stores in 25 states.
