PC Mall grows 2005 e-commerce sales 17% in 2005
Though it’s a leaner web retailer since it divested itself of eCost.com more than a year ago, PC Mall still managed to grow its total e-commerce sales in 2005.
For 2005 PC Mall posted web sales of $162.2 million, an increase of 16.7% from adjusted 2004 e-commerce numbers of $138.9 million in 2004. Overall the web represented 16% of total sales of $997.2 million compared with 14% of total sales of $978.3 million in 2004.
PC Mall, No. 29 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, spun out eCost.com into a separate public company in September 2004. But eCost is now a business unit of PFSweb Inc., which merged with the online computer retailer in February.
PC Mall is a direct marketer of computer hardware, software, peripherals and electronics. Its remaining web sites include PCMall.com, ClubMac.com, MacMall.com, PCMallGov.com and OnSale.com.
