ARTISTdirect gets a new chairman/CEO

ARTISTdirect Inc., a music and media company that operates retail and content-oriented web sites for music acts, has named veteran entertainment executive Ted Field as chairman and CEO. Field comes to ARTISTdirect from the post of co-chairman at Interscope Records. Former Chairman and CEO Marc Geiger is taking the posts of vice chairman and president of Artist Services.
