Maynard, Mass. October 22, 2002 -- Kaon Interactive Inc. (www.kaon.com), award-winning provider of a comprehensive suite of easy-to-use 3D and 2D imaging technologies, today announced that Casio used Kaon`s 3D product display technology for the launch of its new, ultra-thin Exilim camera.
"We reviewed a number of imaging technologies to support the launch of Casio`s new Exilim digital cameras for our new website (exilim.casio.com). Kaon provides excellent quality and the greatest versatility of the options we have seen." commented Shawn Jackman, Internet Marketing Director. "At the size of a credit card, the Exilim is such a unique product. Our challenge was how to best convey this advantage on the Internet where a customer cannot hold the product in person. Kaon had the ability for us to insert a 3D model of a credit card into the presentation so our customers can immediately understand Exilim`s size advantage. Our 3D model from Kaon tells the product story, but it also gives the end-user full control to `virtually try` the camera online. We believe we have achieved a `close to in-store` shopping experience. In addition to the animated tour of the Exilim camera on our Web site, we will be using Kaon technology to support our channel partner Web sites, for online advertising and for online customer support."
Tim Palmer, Kaon Vice President of Marketing said, "We are very pleased a blue chip company like Casio has joined Kaon`s impressive list of customers. Kaon`s extensive range of products and services, including a 3D PowerPointŪ Player, a 2D Pan + Zoom product, and the new Infinite Photo Shoot which is part of the Kaon Product Imaging Center, make it easy for Casio to simultaneously reduce product imaging costs and generate impressive results for their sales, training, and service programs."
