Global Sports picks up Maine-based sporting goods chain
King of Prussia, PA-based Global Sports Inc., which operates several
sporting goods web stores, today announced plans to develop and operate the
Olympia Sports e-commerce store. Global Sports will handle web site design,
customer service, merchandising, fulfillment, order processing and inventory
management.
Yarmouth, ME-based Olympia Sports operates 81 stores in eight
Northeast states. Global Sports is expanding its base of clients to include
web retailers, bricks-and-mortar stores and specialty stores. “Retailers with strong regional footholds, such as Olympia Sports, or specialty stores, such as Blades Board & Skate, hold a niche market in which Global Sports is happy to expand our place,” says a Global Sports spokeswoman.
