DoubleClick names a new sales & marketing chief
DoubleClick Inc., provider of digital advertising technology and services, has named Marianne Caponnetto as chief sales and marketing officer. Caponnetto brings more than 20 years of global marketing and sales experience in the media and entertainment industry, most recently as vice president, publishing for global media and entertainment industry at IBM.
Caponnetto will be responsible for the company`s marketplace positioning, brand development and sales and marketing organization across North America.
At IBM, she led global strategy, sales and marketing for the company`s publishing and marketing communication segments. She previously was vice president, worldwide media/digital media in IBM Corporate Marketing where she built and managed IBM`s global advertising media strategy and operations. DoubleClick says Caponnetto was a leading member of the team responsible for repositioning IBM, and managed a global budget of more than $600 million.
Prior to IBM, Caponnetto was director of corporate marketing, Dow Jones & Co., where she was responsible for directing the companywide portfolio sales, marketing and communications programs.
