Redcats provides fastest March dial-up time

Internet shoppers with a dial-up connection could access a top 50 retail site in March in an average of 54.88 seconds, says Gomez Inc.

Redcats provided the fastest dial-up access in 38.93 seconds, followed by Peapod (40.68 seconds), Blue Nile (41.48 seconds), Coldwater Creek (41.94 seconds), Netflix (42.50 seconds), Zappos (42.96 seconds) and Avon (42.99 seconds).

In March shoppers with a high broadband connection also could access a top 50 retail site in about 6.53 seconds, compared with an average of 13.97 seconds for a low broadband connection, Gomez says.
