New York, NY (February 12, 2008) - The Nautica® brand announced today the launch of its e-commerce site, Nautica.com, which will sell direct to consumers in the United States over the Internet starting February 12, 2008. The site will offer apparel and accessories for men, women and kids, with a wide array of classically-styled American sportswear that reflect the brand’s heritage.

Nautica® is partnering with GSI, the leading provider of e-commerce solutions, to develop and operate an online store at Nautica.com. GSI Commerce will develop and operate facets of the online store including customer service, order processing, and fulfillment. Empathy Lab, an interactive agency leader, will be responsible for the web design and further development of the web infrastructure.
The site is being launched during Nautica®’s 25th anniversary year. To commemorate this milestone, special 25th anniversary product, including a limited edition collection of the iconic Deck Shirt, will be available online for spring. For fall 2008, Nautica® will offer a 25th anniversary collection of reissued outerwear that celebrates the original six pieces that were the foundation of the company.
Nautica® sells through U.S. retailers, in-store shops, direct retail and outlet stores. Nautica® will promote the new site with a mention in print advertising starting with the May 2008 books.
