Shutterfly Inc., a retailer specializing in digital photo products and services, has named Stanford Au as senior vice president of technology. Prior to joining Shutterfly, Au served as vice president of engineering at WebEx Communications. He also formerly served as vice president and general manager for the Internet bill presentment and payment division of AOL/Netscape.
Au, who reports to Shutterfly president and CEO Jeffrey Housenbold, will be responsible for the company’s overall technology strategy and execution. He also will serve as an advisor to the executive team, and will lead Shutterfly’s web engineering, client engineering, Internet operations and quality assurance teams.
