Internet sales at IAC/InterActiveCorp rise 94% year-over-year

Internet sales at IAC/InterActiveCorp, with a boost in revenue from acquired retailers Cornerstone Brands and Shoebuy.com, accounted for 26% of total U.S. retailing revenue for the first quarter ended March 31, up from 18% a year ago, IAC said today. IAC is No. 31 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites.

With total U.S. retail revenue of $673.3 million for Q1, Internet Retailer estimates that IAC’s Q1 Internet retailing revenues amounted to $175 million, up 95% from $89.64 million in the year-earlier period. IAC declines to provide exact revenue for Internet sales, partly because of differences in the way its brands break out revenue for different channels, the company says.

Thomas J. McInerney, IAC/InterActive executive vice president and chief financial officer, will give the keynote address at the Internet Retailer 2006 Conference & Exhibition in a session titled Taking E-Retailing to the Next Level.
