Zappos leads in high broadband site response time for April
Zappos produced the fastest site response time for customers who accessed the online shoe retailer’s site in April using a high broadband connection, says a weekly performance index from Gomez Inc.
Visitors could access the site in about 3.02 seconds, followed by Dell (3.54 seconds), Scholastic (3.95 seconds), Redcats (4.07 seconds), OfficeMax (4.46 seconds), Amazon (4.87 seconds) and Cabela’s (4.97 seconds).
On average, shoppers to a Top 50 web retail site in April could access a retailer’s home page in about 6.51 seconds using high broadband, compared to an average of 13.22 seconds with low broadband and 54.76 seconds for dial-up, Gomez says.
