Montgomery Ward rolls out expanded web and catalog offerings
Direct Marketing Services Inc., the owner of the Montgomery Ward brand, will expand its Wards.com retail e-commerce site to more than 50,000 products for the holiday shopping season, the company says. Last week it released its 180-page holiday catalog.
“Our second holiday catalog is bigger than last year’s and our Wards.com web site will swell to more than 50,000 products during the holiday season, the largest selection Montgomery Ward shoppers will have ever seen in the history of the brand,” says David Milgrom, president of Chicago-based Direct Marketing Services. “From roasting pans for the ever-important holiday dinners to customized jewelry, we want Montgomery Ward to be the place for shoppers to find great quality products.”
Earlier this year, the company launched a Spanish-language version of Wards.com at espanol.wards.com. Also under the Montgomery Ward brand, which Direct Marketing Services acquired in late 2004, the company operates WardsKids.com, offering home furnishings, toys and accessories.
Direct Marketing Services, No. 144 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, also owns HomeVisions.com, CharlesKeath.com and YourKidsDirect.com.
