Quixtar.com offers the fastest dial-up connection

Among big online retailers Dell.com provided the fastest high broadband access time in September, says Gomez Inc.

At 2.83 seconds Dell was followed by Zappos.com (3.49 seconds), Footlocker.com (3.83 seconds) and OfficeMax.com (3.89 seconds). Using a dial-up connection, Quixtar.com also provided the fastest site response time at 27.14 seconds.

In September, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retail site in 5.92 seconds, compared with 13.95 seconds for a low broadband connection and 48.59 seconds for dial-up.
