Digital Wave to offer Akamai`s entire suite of content delivery services to complement customer offerings

Taipei, Taiwan and Cambridge, MA - June 1, 2001 - Digital Wave, Inc., an international multi-media company based in Taiwan, and Akamai Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: AKAM), the leading provider of distributed application and content delivery services, today announced an agreement through which Digital Wave will offer Akamai`s comprehensive suite of Internet content delivery services to enhance Web performance for Taiwan-based businesses.

Akamai`s Internet content and application delivery services enhance Web performance and reliability by delivering all forms of content from Akamai`s globally distributed network of servers at the Internet`s edge. As more Taiwan-based businesses look to outsource critical components of their Internet infrastructure for cost savings, Akamai`s services will enable Digital Wave customers to cost-efficiently improve Web performance while extending their worldwide reach via Akamai`s network. Currently, there are over six million Internet users in Taiwan.
