Buy.com and Travelocity ready for a vacation

Buy.com Inc. has launched the Travel Store, an online collaboration with Travelocity LP. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Through the new web store, Travelocity will offer Buy.com’s customers special travel offers as well as access to Travelocity’s variety of promotions and travel deals.

Buy.com customers represent a great fit for Travelocity; they’re young, affluent and accustomed to getting great deals online, Travelocity says.

Buy.com is No. 33 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites. The pure-play hit $345.6 million last year, an 18.8% increase over $290.8 million in 2004.
