Lands’ End web sales are up 32% while overall sales grow 4%
Internet sales in the second quarter increased 32% at Dodgeville, WI-based Lands` End Inc., while overall sales grew 4%, the company reported today.
Sales at Landsend.com totaled $51 million, up from $39 million in the second quarter of last year. Internet sales in the quarter accounted for 17.8% of Lands` End’s sales, up from 14% a year ago. Total revenue for the second quarter was $285.8 million, up from $275.6 million in the same quarter last year. Net income for the quarter was $3 million compared with a net loss of $1.9 million in the prior year.
For the first six months of the current year, total revenue was $596.9 million, up 6% from $561.5 million a year ago. First half Internet sales totaled $105 million, 17.6% of all sales, up 34.6% from $78 million, 13.9% of sales, a year ago.
