eValueville.com chooses FairMarket to manage its eBay auctions
Woburn, MA-based FairMarket Inc., a provider of e-business selling and
marketing solutions that use dynamic pricing technology, announced today
that eValueville.com, a seller of brand name apparel, will use FairMarket’s
MarketSelect solution as its infrastructure to sell large quantities of
goods on eBay. Evalueville.com chose FairMarket’s product because of its
ability to integrate with the company’s e-commerce systems and automate the
selling process on eBay, the company said.
Evalueville.com began as a turnkey distribution channel solution for large
retail companies that want to liquidate merchandise on eBay. Since
eValueville.com’s launch in May 2000, it has been selling high volumes of
brand name apparel on eBay for up to 85% off retail prices. The seller
closes more than 1,000 auctions per day, which prompted eValueville to seek
out FairMarket’s solution in order to more effectively manage their current
volume and expected growth, it said.
FairMarket’s MarketSelect product is a selling tool that enables merchants
and manufacturers to easily sell large quantities on eBay. Leveraging eBay’s APIs, the solution provides a seamless way for merchants with or without their own web site to list their items on the eBay site through FairMarket.
FairMarket struck a deal with eBay in March to help businesses sell excess goods on the auction site. Other retailers who use FairMarket on eBay include J.C. Penney Co. Inc. and Egghead.com.
