,Beenz.com creator of beenz web currency, has doubled the number of merchants participating in its two-month-old beenzBack shopping program. Barnes & Noble.com, EddieBauer.com, Pets.com, MarthaStewart.com, Garden.com and HammacherSchlemmer.com are joining more than 100 web sites offering consumers beenz for shopping online. Under the beenzBack program, beenz members earn up to 40 beenz for every dollar they spend online by simply accessing affiliate partner web sites to shop. The program also allows consumers to earn beenz by signing up for web-based services. BeenzBack members have spent $30,000 at affiliate merchant sites so far, the company says.
